     Briggs Augustus Longeway was born on 1 August 1833 at Noyan, Missisquoi Co, Quebec. He was the son of Nicholas Longeway and Hannah Rowe. Briggs Augustus Longeway was baptized on 2 March 1834 at Noyan, Missisquoi Co, Quebec.1 He married Mary Augusta Spear. Briggs Augustus Longeway died on 4 September 1901 at Dunham, Missisquoi Co, Quebec, at age 68.2 He was buried on 6 September 1901 at Dunham, Missisquoi Co, Quebec.2
     He witnessed the marriage of Edward Longeway and Lydia Beerwort on 9 February 1860 at Clarenceville, Missisquoi Co, Quebec.3 Briggs Augustus Longeway appeared on the census of 1881 at Dunham, Missisquoi Co, Quebec, and belonged to the Church of England.4
