Melinda Flagg was born on 27 February 1825 at Noyan, Missisquoi Co, Quebec.1 She was the daughter of Isaac Flagg and Aseneth Drew. Melinda Flagg was baptized on 10 January 1841 at St Armand, Missisquoi Co, Quebec.1 She married John Nelson Sawyer on 22 February 1843 at Alburgh, Grand Isle Co, Vermont.2
