Derick was born on 13 August 1822 at

Frederick Derick and
Sarah Griggs. Simon Zelotes Derick was baptized on 25 May 1823 at

Mary Brust on 23 October 1845 at
Brunswick, Rensselaer Co, New York. Simon Zelotes Derick married
Anne Derick, daughter of
Christopher Derick and
Margaret Struthers, on 25 June 1850 at
Clarenceville, Missisquoi Co, Quebec; St George's Anglican Church. Simon Zelotes Derick married
Margaret Miller, daughter of
Samuel Miller, on 10 January 1874. Simon Zelotes Derick died in 1897.
