Catherina Elizabeth Griggs was born on 12 July 1821 at Noyan, Missisquoi Co, Quebec. She married Philip Derick, son of John Philip Derick and Elizabeth Hurlbut, on 9 July 1850 at Alburgh, Grand Isle Co, Vermont. Catherina Elizabeth Griggs died on 2 June 1877 at Noyan, Missisquoi Co, Quebec, at age 55; Clarenceville Anglican Church. She was buried on 4 June 1877.
