     Miles Marriot Covey was born on 23 August 1851 at Noyan, Missisquoi Co, Quebec. He was the son of Stephen Covey and Eliza Jane Partlow. Miles Marriot Covey was baptized on 18 September 1853 at Clarenceville, Missisquoi Co, Quebec.1 He married Celina Tatro on 26 September 1870 at Lowell, Orleans Co, Vermont.2,3 Miles Marriot Covey died on 9 November 1879 at Irasburg, Orleans Co, Vermont, at age 28; "Miles Covey, a Frenchman, was burned to death at Barton Landing, Vt, on Monday. He was caught while carrying furniture out of a burning house belonging to a neighbor."4,5
     He appeared on the census of 24 June 1870 at Cambridge, Lamoille Co, Vermont; Miles Covey, 20, born Vermont, living with others as a farm laborer.6
