Ernest Dean

     Ernest Dean was born on 16 August 1886 at Leeds, Yorkshire, England.¹ He was the son of James Dean and Frances Shores Smith. Ernest Dean married Ethel Zane Smith, daughter of Robert Smith and Elizabeth M (?), on 14 January 1918. Ernest Dean died on 27 January 1950 at Revere, Suffolk Co, Massachusetts, at age 63. He was buried at Woodlawn Cemetery, Everett, Middlesex Co, Massachusetts.
     Ernest attended school in Lowell, MA, and was a custodian in Revere's school system. He also served during World War I. On 5 June 1917, Ernie registered for the Draft in Revere. He was living at 28 South Avenue, working for the Public Schools of Revere. He had blue eyes and brown hair.² He appeared on the census of 8 April 1930 at 16 Hall Street, Revere, Suffolk Co, Massachusetts; Ernest, 43, ethel, 35, Edward, 11, Robert, 9, Francis, 5, Virginia, 3 9/12, John, 2 1/2, Phyllis, 1 and 7/12. Ethel and all children were b. MA.³
