Simon Spearman

     Simon Spearman was born at England.¹ He married Adeline Covey, daughter of Henry Covey and Susan (?), before 1859; There are two marriage records in Hemmingford for a Simon Spearman. One to a Susan Napper in 1851, and one to Sophia Scriver in 1861. There was also a Simon Spearman who died there in 1841, aged 63. I find no record of him marrying Adeline Covey, but both he and Adeline are listed as Philip's parents when he married. Perhaps they never married. Simon Spearman died circa 1860.
