Jonas Hastings was born on 15 September 1729 at Watertown, Middlesex Co, Massachusetts. He was the son of Joseph Hastings and Lydia Brown. Jonas Hastings married Mary Benjamin, daughter of Samuel Benjamin and Mary Hammond, on 26 February 1756. Jonas Hastings died circa 1771 at probably Waltham, Middlesex Co, Massachusetts.
