Cornelius Covey

     Cornelius Covey was born on 29 May 1871 at Franklin Centre, Huntingdon Co, Quebec.¹ He was the son of Enos Covey and Rosanna McGee. Cornelius Covey married Etta Morrison, daughter of Horace Morrison and Mary Ann Covey, on 6 October 1909 at Ellenburg, Clinton Co, New York; Cornelius Covey, age 38, from Franklin, Quebec and Etta Morrison, age 23 of Ellenburgh, New York.² Cornelius Covey died on 20 January 1939 at Champlain Ballet Hospital, Plattsburgh, Clinton Co, New York, at age 67. He was buried at Sheldon Cemetery, Ellenburg, Clinton Co, New York.^3,4
     He appeared on the census of 1900 at Dannemora, Clinton Co, New York.⁵ He appeared on the census of 26 April 1910 at Clinton, Clinton Co, New York; Cornelius Covey was aged 38, wife "Etty" was 24, and they had no children. Cornelius' mother, Rosanna, was living with them at age 64, a widow, mother of four children, three still living.⁶ He appeared on the census of 27 January 1920 at Clinton Mills Road, Clinton, Clinton Co, New York.⁷
