     Floy Ruth Salls was born on 28 May 1902 at Chateaugay, Franklin Co, New York.1 She was the daughter of George Edward Salls and Mary Isabelle Whipple. Floy Ruth Salls married Levi Eldred Hyde on 30 May 1924 at Mountain View, Franklin Co, New York.2 Floy Ruth Salls died on 27 December 2000 at Wikson Memorial Medical Center, Johnson City, Broome Co, New York, at age 98; She graduated from Franklin Academy, Malone in 1919 and went on to earn a degree of doctor of philosophy from Columbia University in 1949.

She and her husband owned and operated Hyde-Park-in-the-Adirondacks. She also authored two books, "Water Over the Dam at Mountain View in the Adirondacks" and "Adirondack Forests, Fields, and Mines."1 She was buried at Morningside Cemetery, Malone, Franklin Co, New York.1
