     Isaac Salls was born circa 1782 at poss Canaan, Columbia Co, New York.1 He was the son of Hix Salls and Mary Briggs. Isaac Salls married Elizabeth Crawford, daughter of Henry Crawford, circa 1805.1 Isaac Salls married Rachel Spear, daughter of Elijah Spear and Anna Partlow, on 21 October 1821 at Noyan, Missisquoi Co, Quebec. Isaac Salls died on 20 April 1861 at Noyan, Missisquoi Co, Quebec.2 He was buried on 22 April 1861 at Missisquoi Co, Quebec.2
     He appeared on the census of 1825 at St Georges, Bedford Co (then), Quebec; Isaac Salls had a family of eight, with three under 6 yrs old. Two were 6-14, and one 14-18. One married male 40-60 and 3 females under 14; One married female 14-45.3 He appeared on the census of 1851 at Clarenceville, Missisquoi Co, Quebec; Isaac Salls, farmer, b. US, Episopalian, 70, Rachel, 50, Daniel, 22, wife Eliza, 19, Permelia, 15, Stephen, 11, all born Canada. The family was Episcopalian.4
