William Egglefield

William Egglefield was born circa 1821 at Quebec.1,2,3 He married Lucy Newell on 15 May 1844 at Dunham, Missisquoi Co, Quebec.4 William Egglefield married Phebe Salls, daughter of Abraham Salls Jr and Melinda McCoy, on 25 July 1871 at Sutton, Brome Co, Quebec; William and Phebe were both residents of Brome, Brome County, and he was a widower.5 William Egglefield died on 1 March 1895 at Stanstead Co, Quebec.3 He was buried on 3 March 1895 at Marlington Cemetery, Stanstead, Stanstead Co, Quebec.6
He appeared on the census of 1881 at Bolton East, Brome Co, Quebec; William Egglesfield, aged 60, wife Phebe, 50 had daughter, Lillie, 8, living with them. Phebe's brothers, Filer, 40, and George, 30, were also living there, as well as Phebe's mother, Malinda, aged 75 and a widow. William Egglesfield was listed as a C. Methodist, while the rest of the residents were Adventist.1 He appeared on the census of 16 April 1891 at Bolton East, Brome Co, Quebec; William Egglefield, was widowed, and living with Joseph and Laura Allen, both 50, and their children. He is shown as born Quebec, and his parents as well.2
