Melinda Holt

     Melinda Holt was born circa 1766 at Wallingford, New Haven Co, Connecticut; info taken from approximate birthdates of her siblings. She was the daughter of Moses Holt and Desire Hall. Melinda Holt married Reuben Hurlbut before 1799; The information on this union is slim. Notary files show on, 2 Oct 1799, there is a document detailing the transfer of rights of succession from Wait Holbert and wife, Bedea, and Reuben Holbert and his wife, Melinda Holt, to Esther Solomon, widow of Moses Holt.¹ Melinda Holt married Joseph Burley Sr. on 10 August 1806 at Franklin, Franklin Co, Vermont. Melinda Holt died on 1 October 1834 at St Armand West, Missisquoi Co, Quebec.² She was buried on 2 October 1834 at Quebec.²
