John Scott was born in 1790 at Quebec. He was the son of John Scott and Dorcus Freeman. John Scott married Mary Buck, daughter of Joseph Buck and Hannah Hard, on 10 June 1812 at Dunham Anglican Church, Dunham, Missisquoi Co, Quebec.¹ John Scott died on 3 April 1860 at Stanbridge, Missisquoi Co, Quebec.² He was buried on 5 April 1860 at Stanbury Cemetery, Stanbridge East, Missisquoi Co, Quebec.²
