     Archibald Hunter was born circa 1833 at New Brunswick. He married Olivia Wood, daughter of William D. Wood and Olivia Hovey Williams, on 9 October 1856 at Saint John, Saint John Co, New Brunswick.1 Archibald Hunter died before 1880 at New Brunswick.
     He appeared on the census of 1871 at Wellington Ward, Division 1, p. 40, #161, Saint John, Saint John Co, New Brunswick; : Archibald Hunter listed as aged 38, born NB, F.C. Baptist, Irish origin and a laborer. His wife was listed as Levina, 40, rather than Olivia.
     IN 1878, Archibald was listed as a shipcarpenter, living at Hay Market Square.2
