Joseph Norman Bond Elderkin was born circa 1828 at Apple River, Cumberland Co, Nova Scotia. He was the son of James Elderkin and Elizabeth Kerr. Joseph Norman Bond Elderkin married Jane Page in 1850; According to a researcher, after Joseph married Jane, there was so much turmoil between his daughters and new wife, he sent them to live in an orphanage.1 Joseph Norman Bond Elderkin died on 10 September 1868 at Port Greville, Cumberland Co, Nova Scotia.2
