George Stanley was born circa 1831 at Mispec, Saint John Co, New Brunswick. He was the son of Solomon Dyer Stanley and Martha Bennett Daley. George Stanley married Isabella Dyer Thomas, daughter of Daniel Thomas and Isabella Stanley, on 24 October 1853 at St Andrew's Church, Saint John, Saint John Co, New Brunswick.^1,2 George Stanley died in May 1881 at Saint John Co, New Brunswick; Isabella is listed in 1881 census as a widow as of May.³
