     Richard Stanley was born after 1821 at Mispec, Saint John Co, New Brunswick. He was the son of Solomon Dyer Stanley and Martha Bennett Daley. A bond for the marriage of Richard Stanley and Mary McCracken was signed in 1874.1 Richard Stanley married Mary McCracken on 13 June 1874 at Saint John, Saint John Co, New Brunswick.2 A bond for the marriage of Richard Stanley and Jane Silliphant was signed in 1875.3 Richard Stanley married Jane Silliphant, daughter of John Silliphant and Alice Goss, on 27 September 1875 at Saint John, Saint John Co, New Brunswick. Richard Stanley died before 21 August 1889 at Saint John Co, New Brunswick; Richard Stanley was deceased before the death of his 6 year old son, William.4
     "Richard Stanley has sold out his house and lot on Whale Cove Hill to W.E. TATTON. Stanley removes to Carleton (St. John) to open a grocery. Poor health has induced him to sell. - Grand Manan (Charlotte Co.) News."5
