     Stephen Hix Salls was born on 13 October 1784 at Clarenceville, Missisquoi Co, Quebec.1 He was the son of Hix Salls and Mary Briggs. Stephen Hix Salls married Lydia Flagg, daughter of Isaac Flagg and Abigail Baldwin, before 1818; Stephen & Lydia were sponsors to the 1818 bapt of Stephen Salls Flagg. Stephen Hix Salls died on 17 January 1841 at Noyan, Missisquoi Co, Quebec, at age 56.1,2 He was buried on 19 January 1841 at St George's Anglican Cemetery, Clarenceville, Missisquoi Co, Quebec.2
     He witnessed the birth of Stephen Salls Flagg on 31 May 1817 at Caldwell's Manor, (now Missisquoi Co), Quebec.3
