     Mary Roselle Kerr was born in 1784 at Ecclefechan, Dumfriesshire, Scotland; It is likely that her middle name was actually Roselle, or Rozelle, after her grandmother. Since there are no now known records that have her name, we can't be sure.1 She was the daughter of James Kerr and Elizabeth Brown. Mary Roselle Kerr married Francis Smith Salter after 19 June 1813 at Cumberland Co, Nova Scotia.2 Mary Roselle Kerr died on 3 October 1852 at Walton, Hants Co, Nova Scotia.3 She was buried at Sandyland Cemetery, Cogmagun, West Hants Co, Nova Scotia.4
