Nicholas Busby was born in 1587 at Norwich, Norfolk, England. He was the son of Nicholas Busby and Susannah (?) Nicholas Busby married Bridget Cocke, daughter of Christopher Cocke and Margaret, on 24 June 1605 at St. Mary Coslany, Norwich, Norfolk, England. Nicholas Busby died on 28 August 1657 at Boston, Suffolk Co, Massachusetts.
Nicholas Busby and his wife Bridget came to New England in 1637 with their four children: Nicholas, 27, John, 20, Abraham, 19 and Sarah, 18. Also onboard was their daughter, Ann, and her husband William Nickerson and their family of four children. They all arrived in Boston on 20 Jun 1637.1 He left a will on 25 July 1657 at Boston, Suffolk Co, Massachusetts; He appointed his three sons that are in New England, Abaraham Busby, William Nickerson and John Grout to gather up all his debts in his debt book and present the record to his Executrix.1
