Joseph Bullis

     Joseph Bullis married Lydia Johnson; Lydia's burial record indicates the witnesses were sons John (1799) and Joseph (1803). However, the baptism of Stephen Bullis in 1826 says he was born 1807, the son of Joseph Bullis and wife Polly Dolph.² Joseph Bullis was born on 29 July 1766 at Nine Partners, Dutchess Co, New York; Date comes from his baptismal record.³ He was the son of Jesse Bullis and Anna Eager.¹ Joseph Bullis was baptized on 20 July 1843 at Noyan, Missisquoi Co, Quebec.³ He died on 10 March 1850 at Noyan, Missisquoi Co, Quebec, at age 83.⁴ He was buried on 11 March 1850 at Brockville Cemetery, Quebec; The burial record for Joseph Bullis mentions sons Stephen and Joseph Bullis as witnesses.³
