Thomas Belding was born on 3 April 1800 at Saint John, Saint John Co, New Brunswick. He was the son of Daniel Belding and Mabel Bristall. Thomas Belding died before 1819; According to notes written on the family history by Frederick Thompson of Chance Harbour some years ago, Thomas drowned at sea en route to Saint John, and was unmarried.
