Frank Washington Stanley

     Frank Washington Stanley was born on 16 December 1883 at Grand Manan, Charlotte Co, New Brunswick.¹ He was the son of John Calvin Stanley and Marietta Thurber. Frank Washington Stanley married Daisy E. Dodge on 18 November 1903 at Lubec, Washington Co, Maine.² Frank Washington Stanley and Daisy E. Dodge were divorced after 1909. Frank Washington Stanley married Eliza Stead, daughter of George Stead, on 22 November 1918 at Charlotte Co, New Brunswick; Frank was a widower and a fisherman, born Northe Head. Eliza was 28, and a widow, with her current residence as well as birth being Manchester England.³ Frank Washington Stanley died on 5 December 1956 at Lancaster Hospital, Saint John, Saint John Co, New Brunswick, at age 72; Funeral home record gives his place of death as "Lanc Hospital", his residence and birth as North Head, Grand Manan. He was a widower, but his wife was listed as Eliza Stead, and the order came from his son Edwin G. Stanley.^1,4 He was buried on 8 December 1956 at Church of England, Grand Manan, Charlotte Co, New Brunswick; Frank had been a retire fisherman, last working about 1930. He had spent his entire life on Grand Manan.¹
