Evaline Thompson was born on 23 January 1858 at Chance Harbour, Saint John Co, New Brunswick. She was the daughter of Robert Thompson and Mabel Belding. Evaline Thompson married Jarvis William Mawhinney on 16 August 1880 at St. Anne's Episcopal Church, Musquash, Saint John Co, New Brunswick.
