     Hildegarde of Vinzgau was born in 754 at Aachen, Prussia.1 She was the daughter of Gerold I of Alemmania and Emma of Swabia. Hildegarde of Vinzgau married Charlemagne Emperor of the West, son of Pepin III King of Franks and Bertrada II of Laon, before 30 April 771. Hildegarde of Vinzgau died on 30 April 783 at Thionville, Moselle, France.1
