     Johannes Young was born on 14 June 1781 at Brunswick, Rensselaer Co, New York.1,2 He was the son of Jacob Young and Catherina Brust. Johannes Young was baptized on 8 July 1781 at Gilead Lutheran Church, Brunswick, Rensselaer Co, New York.3 He married Lydia Ann Covey, daughter of Samuel Covey and (Mary?) Yearns/Hearns, circa 1805. Johannes Young died on 17 November 1868 at Noyan, Missisquoi Co, Quebec, at age 87.4 He was buried on 19 November 1868 at St George's Anglican Cemetery, Clarenceville, Missisquoi Co, Quebec.4
     Johannes Young was also known as John Young. He appeared on the census of 1861 at Clarenceville, Missisquoi Co, Quebec; John Young, Sr., 80, b. US, Ch of Eng, farmer and wife Lydia, 76, b. US were living with their son John Young, Jr., wife Margaret Stewart and children.5
