Isaac Pearson was born circa June 1844 at Leeds, Yorkshire, England.1 He was the son of Charles Pearson and Elizabeth Curry. Isaac Pearson was baptized on 2 June 1844 at St Peters Wesleyan NC, Leeds, Yorkshire, England; Baptism lists him as son of Charles and Elizabeth.1 He married Ellen Ingman, daughter of Stephen Ingman, on 17 February 1867 at St John & St Barnabas, Holbeck, Yorkshire, England; The marriage record listed Isaac Pearson, 22, moulder, and Ellen Ingman, 21, both of Moore Street. Isaac's father was listed as Edward Pearson, moulder. Since his real father died when he was about a year old, the only father he knew was Edward Smith. This writer believes when asked his father's name, he replied Edward, and the vicar assumed the last name was Pearson. Isaac was then living with Edward Smith and his mother and siblings at 3 Barley Row, Leeds.2,3 Isaac Pearson died on 16 September 1900 at Leeds, Yorkshire, England; This may be burial date.4,5 He was buried at Holbeck Cemetery, Holbeck, Leeds, Yorkshire, England.4

Holbeck.6 He witnessed the marriage of James Dean and Frances Shores Smith on 9 December 1878 at St Peter's Church, Leeds, Yorkshire, England; James was listed as a hackle pin grinder, residing Front Row, son of James Dean, a cloth dresser. Frances was a 20 year old spinster, residing Front Street, daughter of Edward Smith, moulder.7,8 Isaac Pearson appeared on the census of 3 April 1881 at 20 Edwin Street, Holbeck, Yorkshire, England; Isaac Pearson, 36, Iron Moulder at Works, Ellen, 38, House Duties, Eliza, 13, General Servant (Domestic), and Rowland Dufton, 3, visitor. All were born Leeds.9 He was an iron moulder.
