     John Galbraith was born on 28 May 1845 at Kilkeel, County Down, Ireland.1,2 He married Letitia Nisbet, daughter of Oliver Nisbet and Mary Stewart, on 29 December 1874.3 John Galbraith died on 9 September 1919 at age 74.2 He was buried at Lorneville, Saint John Co, New Brunswick.2
     John Galbraith was also known as Jack Galbraith. Mourne Presbyterian Church records indicate John was born 3 June 1845 and baptised 20 July 1845 in Kilkeel. He migrated to New Brunswick in 1847 at the age of 2.2 He appeared on the census of 1901 at Lancaster, Saint John Co, New Brunswick; John Galbraith, 55, Letitia, 49, William H., 24, Jessie, 16 and Bertha, 10.1 He appeared on the census of 1911 at Lorneville, Saint John Co, New Brunswick; John Galbraith, 65, Letticia, 58, William, 31, Bertha, 21, along with grandchildren, William Wilson, 14 and Jessie, 6.4
