     Charlotte Melissa Wait was born on 21 November 1844 at Lingwick, Compton Co, Quebec. She was the daughter of Abraham Wait and Almira Ann Salls. Charlotte Melissa Wait was baptized on 30 December 1844 at Lingwick Anglican Church, Lingwick, Compton Co, Quebec; A record of Abraham's famiy lists Charlotte as born Thursday, 28 Nov 1844.1 She married Thomas Pickett on 12 July 1864 at Hatley Anglican Church, Hatley, Stanstead Co, Quebec.2 Charlotte Melissa Wait died on 8 June 1921 at Toronto, York Co, Ontario, at age 76.3,4 She was buried on 11 June 1921 at Mount Forest Cemetery, Coaticook, Compton Co, Quebec.3
