     Darwin Lyman Salls was born on 16 June 1865 at Iron Hill, Brome Co, Quebec; Multiple records show Darwin was born in 1865, but much earlier records show his birthdate varied from 1860-1863. His mother was always listed as Eliza Whitehead, yet the 1861 census states Harvey was already a widower, and there was no Darwin listed.2,3 He was the son of Harvey Salls and Elizabeth Amanda Whitehead.1 Darwin Lyman Salls married Ida Stygles on 14 June 1884 at Belvidere, Lamoille Co, Vermont.3 Darwin Lyman Salls married Effie Reynolds on 25 December 1890 at Cambridge, Lamoille Co, Vermont.4 Darwin Lyman Salls died on 30 December 1923 at Colchester, Chittenden Co, Vermont, at age 58; Darwin's death was caused by cancer of the gall bladder and liver.2,3 He was buried at Garfield Cemetery, Hyde Park, Lamoille Co, Vermont.3
