     Lily Peabody married Horace Hartley. Lily Peabody was born on 27 June 1871 at Lisbon, Grafton Co, New Hampshire.2 She married John Francis Waite, son of James Hix Wait and Sarah Mary Keenan, on 14 September 1896 at Derby, Orleans Co, Vermont; Frank was aged 32 and it was his 2nd marriage. Lilla was married previously as well, to a Hartley. They were married by Henry M. Perkins of the Congregational Church.3,1 Lily Peabody died on 4 October 1933 at 1 First Street, Barre, Washington Co, Vermont, at age 62; Lily was living with her daughter, Mabel Smith in Barre. She had been in ill health since a broken hip. Six childre survived her, two by her first husband.2
