     Daniel Tryon was born on 16 August 1789 at Noyan, Missisquoi Co, Quebec.1 He was the son of David Tryon and Elizabeth Lewis. Daniel Tryon married Mary Ann Longeway, daughter of Remie Longeway and Marie Geneviève Raimond, before 1810. Daniel Tryon was baptized on 26 November 1815 at Caldwell's Manor, Missisquoi Co, Quebec, as an adult.1 He died on 28 December 1856 at Clarenceville, Missisquoi Co, Quebec, at age 67.2,3 He was buried at St George's Anglican Cemetery, Clarenceville, Missisquoi Co, Quebec.4
     He witnessed the death of Elizabeth Tryon on 28 April 1828 at Noyan, Missisquoi Co, Quebec.5 Daniel Tryon appeared on the census of 1851 at Clarenceville, Missisquoi Co, Quebec; Daniel Tryon, carpenter, b. Canada, Episcopalian, 63, MaryAnn, 61, Elizabeth, 42, Emerline, 25, James, 23, Adeline, 21. Enumerated next to Thomas Scott.6 Daniel Tryon and his wife 'Marianne Langevin" appeared before Pierre Gamelin, notary on 28 Jan 1851 to file a Donation to James Tryon, one of his sons. It was a parcel of land in Noyan known as Lot #4 in the fourth range of concession on the south side of South River. The gift also included a few horses, cows, a heifer, a bull and 14 sheep. He also gave him a sleigh, shovels, spades, pitch forks and other implements.7
