Augusta Patterson was born circa 1845 at North Hero, Grand Isle Co, Vermont.¹ She was the daughter of Jehiel Patterson and Phoebe Ann Hoose. Augusta Patterson married George J. Patterson, son of Lobina Bull Patterson and Lydia Jane Hoose, circa 1862. Augusta Patterson died on 22 February 1899 at Waterbury, Washington Co, Vermont.¹
This notice appeared in the newspaper on 9 Aug 1879:

" Whereas my wife Augusta H. Pattrson, left home without any just cause July 11, 1879, taking her three youngest children with her, I forbid all persons harboring them or trusting her or them on my account.

Geo. J. Patteson, Waterbury, Vt."²
