     Joseph Hovey was born on 6 February 1705/6 at Malden, Middlesex Co, Massachusetts. He was the son of James Hovey and Deborah Barlow. Joseph Hovey married Thankful Learned on 2 May 1738 at Sherborn, Worcester Co, Massachusetts.1 Joseph Hovey died on 28 October 1785 at Windham, Windham Co, Connecticut, at age 79.2 He was buried at Pink Cemetery, Mansfield, Tolland Co, Connecticut.3
