Araminta Covey was born circa 1809 at Alburgh, Grand Isle Co, Vermont. She was the daughter of Samuel Covey and Anna Susannah Mitchell.
There was an Araminta Jane Covey, who had died 6 Aug 1854 and was buried in Fort Meigs Cemetery in Perrysburg, Wood Co, Ohio. She had been the 2nd wife of William Crook, b. c1799. It is highly doubtful she is the same Araminta, as William Crook came to Ohio in 1832. They married 13 Jan 1842 in Wood Co, Ohio, and they were living in Perrysburg in 1850, and she was said to have been born ca 1818.
