Amherst, NS - After great suffering from spinal meningitis, age 26 years, James K. Howard of late firm Currie & Howard, died Saturday morn. last at his lodgings, Mrs. Edward Page, Eddy Street. The funeral took place Monday from the residence of his brother-in-law, James Moffatt, Church Street. The remains were laid to rest in the Highland Cemetery and were preceded to the grave by the A.M. Band and the Independent Order of Oddfellows of which Mr. Howard Had been a member. Rev.s Steele and McGrigor officiated at the house. Mr. and Mrs. Harvey Brown were in attendance at the funeral, Mrs. Brown being a sister of Mr. Howard.1
