     Allen Stranahan was born circa 1810 at Columbia Co, New York. He was the son of William Stranahan and Margaret Salls. Allen Stranahan married Elizabeth Van Vleck.1 Allen Stranahan died on 19 December 1886 at Essex Co, New York.1 He was buried after 19 December 1886 at Reber Cemetery, Reber, Essex Co, New York.1
     He appeared on the census of 21 June 1865 at Canaan, Columbia Co, New York; Allen Stranahan, 51, wife Elizabeth, 52, Luke, 16 and William B., 20.2
