     Fleda Hughes was born in 1879 at Johnston Co, North Carolina.1 She was the daughter of William Henry Hughes and Nancy A. Worley. Fleda Hughes married John L Britt on 10 March 1899 at Boon Hill Township, Johnston Co, North Carolina; Rev. Joe Pearce performed the ceremony.2,3 Fleda Hughes died on 19 September 1914 at Raleigh, Wake Co, North Carolina.1 She was buried on 20 September 1914 at City Cemetery, Raleigh, Wake Co, North Carolina.1
