Joanna Tryon

     Joanna Tryon was born circa 1755 at prob New Fairfield, Fairfield Co, Connecticut. She was the daughter of Daniel Tryon and Ellenor Vaughan. Joanna Tryon married Henry Adams, son of Joseph Adams and Miriam Cleveland, circa 1778 at likely Bennington Co, Vermont. Joanna Tryon died on 17 April 1832 at Willsboro, Essex Co, New York.¹ She was buried at Gilliland Cemetery, Willsboro, Essex Co, New York.¹
     She and Henry Adams appeared on the census of 1790 at Shaftsbury, Bennington Co, Vermont; Henry Adams is a resident of Shaftsbury with 2 males under 16, 1 male over 16, and 4 free females.²
