Florence MacDonald

     Florence MacDonald married James Ackerly.¹ Florence MacDonald was born in 1855 at East Saint John, Saint John Co, New Brunswick.¹ She was the daughter of George E. MacDonald and Mary Ann Rodgers.¹ Florence MacDonald died on 2 May 1935 at Green Street, East Saint John, Saint John Co, New Brunswick; She was buried in the Methodist Cemetery. Cause of death indicated as cerebral hemorrhage.¹
     She and Esther MacDonald appeared on the census of 1901 at Saint John, Saint John Co, New Brunswick; Esther Wood, 42, boarder and married, was living with her sister Florence Ackerly, her husband and two sons in Saint John.² Florence MacDonald appeared on the census of 1931 at 221 Prince Street, Saint John, Saint John Co, New Brunswick; It appears that two families living there. David McDonald Akerly38, wife Margaret, 31 were in one, and Jennie Stackhouse 65, was head of the second family, including Florence Akerly 71, and Esther Woods[sic], 67.³
