     Benjamin Scott was born on 15 July 1823 at Noyan, Missisquoi Co, Quebec.1 He was the son of John Scott and Mary Tallman. Benjamin Scott was baptized on 17 August 1834 at Clarenceville, Missisquoi Co, Quebec.2 He married Clarissa Partlow, daughter of James Partlow and Elenore Van Dyke, on 24 March 1856 at Alburgh, Grand Isle Co, Vermont.3 Benjamin Scott and Clarissa Partlow were divorced before May 1863. Benjamin Scott married Matilda J. Foster before 1875. Benjamin Scott died on 26 July 1893 at Burke, Franklin Co., New York, at age 70.4 He was buried at North Burke Cemetery, N. Burke, Franklin Co, New York.5
     He appeared on the census of 4 June 1880 at Burke, Franklin Co, New York; Benjamin Scott, 55 and Matilda, 50.6
