Amanda Danford was born circa 1799 at Quebec.1 She was the daughter of Samuel Danford and Mary (?) Amanda Danford married Hiram Patterson, son of Danforth Patterson and Chloe Smith, circa 1816.
Amanda Danford and Hiram Patterson appeared on the census of 25 August 1850 at Edwards, St Lawrence Co, New York; Hiram Patterson, 54, wife Amanda, 50, Maria, 8, and Hiram, 13, all born Canada.2 Amanda Danford and Hiram J. Patterson appeared on the census of 10 August 1870 at Pittsburg, Coos Co, New Hampshire; Hiram J. Patterson, 33, Persis, 28, Herbert, 11, Henry, 8; Fanny, 4, and Amanda, 71. Hiram and Amanda were shown as born Canada, the others, in New Hampshire.3
