     Alton Wheeler was born on 10 July 1826 at Noyan, Missisquoi Co, Quebec. He was the son of Ephraim Wheeler and Mary Filer. Alton Wheeler was baptized on 22 August 1841 at St George's Anglican Church, Clarenceville, Missisquoi Co, Quebec.1
