     John Saxe was born in 1793 at Rhinebeck, Dutchess Co, New York. He was the son of George Saxe and Rachel LeRoy. John Saxe married Kate Reichard before 1831. John Saxe married Emily Ervin Covey, daughter of Samuel Covey and Anna Susannah Mitchell, on 17 December 1848 at Alburgh, Grand Isle Co, Vermont.1
