Daniel Colton was born on 12 October 1802 at Clarenceville, Missisquoi Co, Quebec.1 He was the son of John Colton and Jane Hoose. Daniel Colton married Hannah Curtis, daughter of Amasa Curtis and Hannah Willcock, on 29 October 1826 at Caldwell's Manor, (now Missisquoi Co), Quebec.2 Daniel Colton died on 22 February 1877 at age 74.1
