Phebe Filer was born circa 1773. She was the daughter of Samuel Filer and Jerusha Hopping. Phebe Filer married Abraham Salls, son of Isaac Salls and Hannah Hawley, circa 1792 at Noyan, Missisquoi Co, Quebec. Phebe Filer died circa 1823; Phebe Filer Salls had died before 27 January 1824, when James Campbell of Caldwell's Manor & Elizabeth Filer his wife sold land to Isaac Hammond Filer. The document mentions Filer Salls representing Phebe Filer, his mother deceased, former wife of Abraham Salls.¹
