Stanley was born in October 1799 at
Provincetown, Barnstable Co, Massachusetts; The Burial Permit lists Providence, US as his birthplace and that he was a fisherman. LIkely that Providence was a mistake for Provincetown.

Isabella Dyer. Solomon Dyer Stanley married
Martha Bennett Daley, daughter of
Joseph Daley and
Abigail Hammond, on 23 July 1821 at
Saint John, Saint John Co, New Brunswick; Martha's marriage record shows a witness to be a George "Dealey". She was listed as a Dealey as well. Solomon Dyer Stanley married
Sarah Cronk, daughter of
Frederick Cronk and
Margaret Stork, on 10 November 1853 at
St Andrews Church, Saint John, Saint John Co, New Brunswick.

Saint John, Saint John Co, New Brunswick, at age 91; He was aged 91 yrs, 5 mos, living at the corner of Rodney & Union Streets, West Saint John. Solomon had been a cooper and was Baptist.

Also in the household was John Standley, 88, b. England, presumed to be his brother, also a widow. Also a Mary Daly, 44, widow, b. USA, J. Edgar Daly, 3, Frank, 6 and Sarah E., b. Oct 1880.
