     Henry W. Daley was born on 7 October 1863 at Saint John Co, New Brunswick.1 He was the son of Joseph Daley and Mary Hepburn. Henry W. Daley married Agnes Watson, daughter of John Watson and Rebecca (?), on 24 May 1888 at Saint John, Saint John Co, New Brunswick; Henry Daley was aged 27, b. Carleton, and he was of Portland when he married Agnes, aged 22.2 Henry W. Daley died on 7 April 1954 at Provincial Hospital, Saint John, Saint John Co, New Brunswick, at age 90; Henry's residence had been given as Cole's Island by his grandnephew, Gerald Arrowsmith. He had been an auto spring maker and died at the age of 90.3,1 He was buried at Fernhill Cemetery, Saint John, Saint John Co, New Brunswick.
     He appeared on the census of 6 May 1891 in the household of Joseph Daley and Mary Hepburn at Portland, Saint John, Saint John Co, New Brunswick; Joseph Daley was 63, a Baptist, house carpenter, Mary was 62, her father born in Scotland, and her mother in the US. Son Henry was 25 and a blacksmith, daughter Jennie was 12. No son William was listed.4 Henry W. Daley witnessed the marriage of Lawrence Noakes (?) and Martha Stanley on 10 January 1898 at Saint John, Saint John Co, New Brunswick; Lawrence was aged 30 and a waiter, and Martha was aged 23, b. Mispec.5 Henry W. Daley appeared on the census of 1901 at Saint John, Saint John Co, New Brunswick; Henry Daly, 37, Agness, 35, along with lodgers Patience Morrison, 76, and Joseph Daly, 70.6 He appeared on the census of 1911 at 167 Westmorland Street, Saint John, Saint John Co, New Brunswick; Henry Daley, 47, Agnes, 45, Ella Arrowsmith, 25, niece, Sylvester Arrowsmith, 28, nephew, Joseph Arrowsmith3, g'son, Viola, 1, g'dau, as well as Mary Daley, 85, mother, and a widow.7 "Henry Daley was taken care of by my grandmother during the last years of his life. His nickname was Hadgey or Hadgie. I know how to pronounce it but I'm not sure if the spelling is correct."1
