     Andrew Stanley was born on 16 January 1833 at Mispec, Saint John Co, New Brunswick; b'date from 1901 census, Guys Ward, Saint John. He was the son of Solomon Dyer Stanley and Martha Bennett Daley. Andrew Stanley married Jane Jenkins on 29 October 1857 at St James Church, Saint John, Saint John Co, New Brunswick.1 A bond for the marriage of Andrew Stanley and Mary Ann Burns was signed in 1876.2 Andrew Stanley married Mary Ann Burns on 30 October 1876 at Saint John, Saint John Co, New Brunswick. Andrew Stanley died on 20 January 1904 at Mispec, Saint John Co, New Brunswick, at age 71; Andrew was aged 71 yrs, 1 mo at his death. His burial permit states his father was Solomon Stanley, born Ireland, and that Andrew was a fireman and resided King Street, W. Saint John.3 He was buried at Cedar Hill Cemetery, Saint John, Saint John Co, New Brunswick.3
     The marriage record of Andrew Stanley and his 2nd wife Mary Ann Burns shows William Daley and Sarah M. Turner as witnesses. This writer believes that William Daley was Andrew's step brother, the son of Henry Daley and Sarah Cronk.
Burial permit #373 lists that Andrew Stanley was a fireman and lived on King Street [West End]. He apparently died from pneumonia, and was buried at Cedar Hill Cemetery with other Stanleys. While his father is listed as having been Solomon Stanley, it also lists his birthplace as Ireland.
